The flagship beer of Privatbrauerei Hirt is brewed following traditional Bohemian recipes. With its long maturation period, Hirter Privat Pils develops its character naturally – unhurried and refined over time. At Hirt, the Pilsner is brewed according to its own traditions, which differ significantly from the typical North German style.
As with all Hirter specialty beers, we use only water from our 24 mountain springs. This soft, crystal-clear spring water is naturally ideal for brewing and requires no treatment before use. For shelf stability, we rely on a gentle double filtration process that preserves the beer’s pure, natural flavor. Brewed exclusively with the purest aroma hops, Hirter Privat Pils reveals a refined bitterness – never harsh, always harmoniously balanced. Its high degree of fermentation lends the beer an elegant lightness often described by beer connoisseurs as “semi-dry. The first sip is soft and smooth, followed by a delicate, elegant bitterness and fine carbon dioxide structure for an exceptionally balanced finish.
