Hirter Kellermeister is brewed exclusively from certified organic raw materials – barley and wheat malts as well as hops sourced entirely from Austrian organic farmers. These high-quality ingredients give the beer its distinctive character: gently sweet, fruity, and exceptionally smooth. At Privatbrauerei Hirt, we have used our own unmodified pure cultured yeast for many years, propagated in our in-house laboratory. The beer’s natural cloudiness and mild carbonation create an ideal, well-rounded drinking experience.
As with all Hirter specialty beers, we use only water from our 24 mountain springs. This soft, crystal-clear spring water is naturally ideal for brewing and requires no treatment before use. For shelf stability, we rely on a gentle double filtration process that preserves the beer’s pure, natural flavor.
