Hirter Morchl is truly one of a kind – both in flavor and in the way it’s brewed. Unlike many other dark beers, Hirter Morchl is brewed traditionally with dark brewing malt, hops, and caramel malt, which give it its deep color. It is then allowed to mature completely naturally over an extended conditioning period.
As with all Hirter specialty beers, we use only water from our 24 mountain springs. This soft, crystal-clear spring water is naturally ideal for brewing and requires no treatment before use. For shelf stability, we rely on a gentle double filtration process that preserves the beer’s pure, natural flavor.
Hirter Morchl greets the palate with a malt-forward, pleasantly dry start, followed by a slender, delicately bitter finish that will impress any true connoisseur.
