Hirt Brewery

Real passion for Real Beer.

Hirt Brewery

Real passion for Real Beer.

Hirter 750 Jahre grau 15

In a world where everything is becoming increasingly artificial, we need people who uphold what is real:

real life, real pleasure, Real Beer.

The Hirt Private Brewery is one of the oldest breweries in Austria.Brewing has been a real passion at Hirt for 750 years. One thing has always been clearly in the foreground: the quality of the beers.

To protect the Austrian brewing culture and under the motto "forever free of corporations", we, together with other Austrian private breweries, are setting an example for our beer.

But real beer needs more than just tradition. Equally important are regionality, excellent raw materials, original craftsmanship and genuine passion. These five 'ingredients' have made our beer so special for generations,"

says Klaus Möller, Managing Director and owner.

Regionality

Real beer is rooted in the region. That's why we're called Hirt: our place of work and our name are one and the same. And that's why the people involved in the brewing process at Hirt are from the immediate surroundings. This keeps value creation and jobs close to home.

Raw materials

We use only the highest quality and treat all our products with care. The barley for our Hirt Märzen, for example, comes from the neighbouring Krappfeld. And the water we use for brewing is sourced from our own springs: the purest mountain spring water, so perfectly constituted that we don't even need to treat it.

The Hirt Kellermeister pairs very well with somewhat spicy main courses, mild fish dishes, pasta dishes, creamy soups, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Hirt 1270.

Really malty.

Hirt 1270, with its characteristic amber glint, is unpasteurised, GMO-free and thus completely natural. Responsible for its colour is the gently toasted, caramelised brewing malt.

Hirt 1270 is well suited as an accompaniment to hearty and spicy dishes, such as pepper steak. It harmonises particularly well with roast chicken, grilled food, the Hirt brewery cellar pork fillet special, and goulash

Really dark.

Characteristic of Hirt Morchl is the malty, rather dry nose and the differentiated taste sensation on the palate despite the predominant malt tone. For a malt beer, an unusually lean, even slightly bitter finish.

A great accompaniment to wild game dishes. It tastes wonderful with tangy soft cheese, creamy desserts, chocolate or soufflés.
